About Operation Turkey

For the past eight years, Communities In Schools of Puyallup (CISP) and its community partners have offered complete Thanksgiving meals for local families. Through CISP's Site Coordinator program in Puyallup elementary schools, we identify families who would benefit from Operation Turkey and work with them to fulfill their needs.

Historically, we've collected food donations for Thanksgiving meal kits to provide our families. However, Covid protocols transformed how we achieve Operation Turkey's mission. We've found offering funds for families to purchase their own Thanksgiving meals promotes their autonomy and allows those with diverse cultural backgrounds to select meals that best fit their traditions.

While we mainly accept monetary contributions to support this program, we also welcome food, supplies, and other donations. If you wish to contribute through this capacity, please contact Megan at Megan@cispuyallup.org or call 253-840-8917. All extra donations will be rolled over into our 2021 Holiday Help program.
